Student Data Download and Return
Students have two sources of saved files within the Jurupa Unified School District. The primary source is Google Drive using their provided student account. In addition, Windows computers have redirected documents folders that store this information on a centralized database. Collection of this information to take out of the district before an account is disabled can be accomplished in two ways.
Google provides a tool called Google Take Out. This tool allows the user to download all Google information, including Drive, Sites, Emails and additional components of Google. The download is a packaged file that will either need to be emailed to a new account or placed on a removable storage device to be taken home.
This tool is only available while the account is active. If you know you will be leaving the district for any reason, such as transferring or graduating, you will have until your last day to use Google Take out.

If you did not save your information before your account became inactive, you will need to make a request to the district to recover the data. This may require returning to the District Office with a removable storage device for transfer of information.
Windows My Document folder items can be copied from the computer to a removable storage device plugged into the same computer. There is no special tool to export the information. To access this folder, the user must be
logged into a district windows computer. These files are unavailable outside of the district, on chromebooks, or on non-district windows computers. Once your account is disabled, if you leave the district or graduate, you will no longer have access to those files.
Steps to download:
Log into district computer with your student credentials
Open your My Documents folder and insert your removable storage device into the USB port
Open the folder for the removable storage device
Select all documents from My Documents folder, right click and select copy
Right click on the removable storage window and select paste
Allow the transfer to complete
If you need to retrieve these documents after your account has become inactive, you will need to make a request to the district to recover the data. This may require returning to the District Office with a removable storage device for transfer of information.
